Friday, March 6, 2015

All Wake County Public School System schools will open on a two-hour delay on Friday, March 6, due to predictions of icy road conditions. The safety of our students, parents and staff remains our top priority.

Please pay close attention to media reports and the district web site for possible updates. WCPSS officials will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions throughout the county early Friday morning to determine when buses can safely transport students to school.
When schools are delayed:

Before-school programs will start on a delayed schedule.
Breakfast may be served at the principal’s discretion if school is delayed one hour or more.
Athletic and extracurricular events will be canceled if school is closed or dismissed early

2013-14 School Progress Report

The NC Department of Public Instruction released new school report cards. They are new because they feature a letter grade to indicate a school’s overall performance.

In order to keep parents informed, Wake County Schools has released the 2013-14 School Report Cards. The report card gives you information about the schools performance, teacher characteristics, school climate and leadership. You can find report cards for every school in Wake County on the Student Outcomes page on the Wake County website. Here is the link to Willow Springs 2013-14 Report Card.
