Kindergarten registration will be held January 15, 2015 from 8:00-4:30 in the Media Center. Please bring: child’s certified birth certificate, proof of residence (power, gas or water bill, or lease/purchase agreement) and parent photo id. It is also helpful to bring current immunization records.
Willow Springs will be offering tours to prospective students and parents on December 1, 2014 and January 8, 2015. Tours will begin at 10:00 am in the main office.
New bus routes for the 2014-15 school year will be available online June 27 for WCPSS year-round schools. The bus routes will be shared at http://www.wcpss.net/parents/transportation/routes-and-stops.html the week before the new school year begins.
WCPSS is working hard to improve bus service for the 2014-15 school year. Below is an abbreviated list of new practices:
- Current families using bus services will automatically be assigned transportation to their address of record.
- Current families not using bus services will be directed to go online starting May 30th to request transportation services.
- New families to WCPSS can request transportation services as they enroll in school starting May 30th. You should sign up approximately one month before the 1st day.
Year-round students must enroll and request bus service by June 6th to receive first day service. If you request service after the cutoff date, first day bus service is not guaranteed.
For more information please check the WCPSS transportation website.
Did you know we have our very own vegetable garden right behind our school? We do and we can’t wait for this year’s growing season!!! However, in order to have another successful year we could use your help. If you are able to help with any of the following items, please email Megan Lewis to let her know – firstname.lastname@example.org
*Person to help with our irrigation system
*Person to put up a reinforcement mesh around our fence
*Person to put air in our wheelbarrow tires
*People to help harvest/weed in the peak season
*Donation of cardboard boxes over the next 2 weeks
*Flower garden experts to help with our border garden
*Person to touch up the paint on the garden entrance sigh and other items
*Businesses or people to donate lunch for about 12 high school students who run our planting days at the end of April
We also need people to deliver our extra produce to our local food pantry. Please email Stephanie Weeks if you are willing to help with this: email@example.com
If you are willing to help deliver prepared food to classrooms so that our students may taste the produce we grow in our garden, please email Alex Humphries: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for all you do to make our garden a success!
